A very warm welcome to our website. We hope you find it informative, interesting and easy-to-navigate. Gatehouse school prides itself on being open and welcoming to everyone - pupils, parents, staff and friends alike. We are very proud of our school and believe in communicating that pride at all times. This website is one part of our effort to meet that aim, and we hope it enables you to feel more informed about, and involved with, what we do. If you have a query about anything at all, or would like to comment about the website, please use the 'contact the school' link on the menu above. We look forward to hearing from you, and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Best wishes, Howard T McLean, Head Teacher |

The photos on the right are links to the most recent albums in our photo galleries, accessible via the link above. Visit the galleries to see much more! (Upper right): Local GP, Dr Isobel Hay, came into school on Thursday 3 July, to formally open the new adventure trail. Dr Hay has been very supportive in enabling the school to acquire this equipment, and it was extremely nice for us that she was able to perform the opening, (Centre right): P1/2 pupils enjoyed a tour of the new medical centre from Practice Manager (and one of our parents) Mrs F Donald on Thursday 3 July. These pupils had undertaken a picture competition based on the building work earlier in the year (and their work is currently on the centre waiting room noticeboard - and can be seen in a couple of the photos), (Lower right): P4/5/6 pupils with Peter Murray-Usher in front of the Murray Arms Hotel on Tuesday 1 July to celebrate their 'Determined to Succeed' achievement for their joint project work with the hotel. |
